And then, two years ago, you had dinosaurs wrapping its run, and as sort of a make-good, Jim Henson brought back the Muppets with Muppets Tonight.

ABC, now under the Disney shingle, spearheaded that, but they also spearheaded a move to see if lightning could strike twice, and with a sitcom along the lines of Dinosaurs.

The best pitch they could muster was from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air creators Susan and Andy Borowitz.

which was a pretty plush time slot.

But here's the thing.

ABC replaced Boy Meets World temporarily with Muppets Tonight.

That left Aliens of the Family to face the first half hour of The X-Files on Fox and the first half hour of Dateline NBC on NBC.

He's very, like, the more grotesque Muppets.

The ones that, like, you know, you'll throw together in, like, Muppets Tonight or whatever the 90s show that, like, was a more edgy

Muppet.

Maybe Meet the Feebles levels of, like, you know...

Not that Jim Henson's gone.

And I mean, even when they try something different, like Muppets Tonight, which I really enjoyed, they're not willing to give it the time to develop.

You know, it's like, oh, it's not working, council.

You know, well, it was working really well, actually.
