Because this isn't just like, oh, I'm going to hike Multnomah Falls or I'm going to take a trail.

Right.

It's not...

And I don't even know how to get back there because I don't know where it is.

Interesting.

It was Multnomah Falls area.

Oh.

I think it really taught me to really, um, research the places I wanna go.

I really got into waterfalls in the beginning because I realized there was so many more waterfalls than that one Multnomah Falls that I've known my whole life.

[laughs] Which, you know, I, we would always take, you know, if we had, like, if my parents had visitors that were visiting the theater, they would... or my grandma, they would take people out there.

But there is so many other places to hike.

Ooh.

You guys, if you get a chance, you got to see Multnomah Falls before you leave.

So

And again, heading into a three-day weekend, we have a pretty good-sized backup as you approach mile marker 37 there at the McCord Creek Bridge.

One lane is blocked, so a backup that starts a little bit to the east of Multnomah Falls on I-84 eastbound.

Also on I-84, westbound, we have heavy traffic unrelated to that, but it's slow from 148th down to the 205 merge.

And then both directions are pretty crowded between the Providence Medical Center and Interstate 5.

We really enjoyed coming up and visiting Washington State.

And we saw the Multnomah Falls.

Mm-hmm.

That's kind of close to you, I think, in the fish market in Seattle.

And then obviously Multnomah Falls is in a couple, like, a background scene.

So it's just, like, classic locations all around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Multnomah Falls in the background of the baseball shot, baseball scene?

Forks, Washington and Multnomah Falls near Bridal Veil, Oregon were both in Twilight.

Oh, yeah.

And so people

In Oregon, Deputy Sheriff Peter Rexford came up with the idea while on a bus driving on a dark, rainy night.

The county refused to fund the project, so Chief Deputy Martin Pratt paid for the paint that was later painted on the Columbia River Highway between Crown Point and Multnomah Falls in April 1917.

It was later that fall that Dr. McCarroll was run off the road near Indio, California.

Dr. McCarroll holds a unique place in the story, however, because her work went beyond just coming up with the idea.
