What they do these little bearings is actually roll under impact so if you hit your head at a certain angle they'll start to roll between the helmet and that outer layer and eventually that layer detaches and that's what's gonna help to reduce rotational forces which yeah, massively contribute to brain injury.

And so potentially this is, you know, it's a bit like MIPS, but on the outside of the helmet, I can see how it could be potentially more effective too, because it can detach.

And so maybe this is something that we'll see as a bit of a norm moving forward at some point in the motorcycle helmet market.
