Muffed punt

The year before that, Rich Miller, KU's up by 11, drops a clear pick six in the third quarter.

Muff Punt, KU loses that one.

It just, year after year after year, it, it's not even an insult to K State.

They just stay in neutral, and KU finds a way to lose this game every single time.

Now, but I didn't do that.

And if it wasn't for that 21 yard game there, how bad would our yardage totals in rushing look? But the game, the play that actually gave us life, and I'm going to go with this play, was the muffed punt by Tiger Bachmeier at midfield that we were able to hop on.

And it gave us an opportunity and, you know, great coverage down there.

And we were able to jump on with Toe Sanders getting on the football.

And that led to the touchdown drive.

So, the fact that I had to go to a muffed punt to go here probably isn't great.

But, man, that changed the game.

And it really felt like it gave us a pulse big time.

So I thought the defense did fine given the situation they were put in.

And if they had an offense that was not turning the ball over, and special teams, right? Muff Punt was in the middle of that too.

Then this defense played more than well enough to not just win, but do what you expect them to do against a mediocre offense.

Greg Ross?

And Ryan Ficken has continually kind of puffed him up to the media and really, you know, just talked about how great he is.

But after the muff- muffed punt and then another return today where he gets absolutely blasted as soon as he, you know, catches the ball, his average punt return is 4.7 yards now.

He ranks 29th, at least the Chargers do, in their average punt return.

That's not, not great, and I-

We didn't disrupt their elite unit, their offense, and then the special teams mistakes killed them.

Muff Punt flipped the field for us, gave us a free trip to the red zone.

Ben Skoranek, love him.

He is an awesome Steeler, really good blocker, just a dog, but he recovered the Muff Punt.

The Bengals extended another drive for the Steelers where they just crunched our punter, obliterated Cameron Johnston, gave us another free extra set of downs.

We turned both of those drives into points.

I thought the defense was concerningly bad, and it makes me wonder if maybe the defense does just suck, and maybe that is what's going to hold this team back from making the playoffs.

They still have the easy schedule, but it's a bad performance out of them.

You go back to, like, the Bears game, there was turnovers.

Hunt, Muff Punt.

Yeah, Muff Punt.

They kept kicking.

Santos was kicking it out of bounds a couple times.
