Mud Island

Yeah, it's a big old landmark.

It's right on Mud Island is what they call it.

And it looks like a pyramid? Yeah.

Shit.

Yeah.

I started on Mud Island, but we luckily moved away from the bubble and into the real deal Memphis, which was midtown, and loved it.

Yeah.

It's a fun city.

Uh, a younger Joe Mullinax, who had a little bit more hair back then, hanging out with his good buddy, shout-out David Parker, who I had my season tickets with.

I watched just about every home game, going from my apartment there in Mud Island.

I watched that era of Grizzlies basketball, and I watched a franchise that understood the assignment when it came to the city.

The fact that myself and my good buddy, who were both schoolteachers, and we had the ability to come together and buy two season tickets for Memphis Grizzlies games, pretty decent ones.

Okay.

It's on, it's on Mud Island.

It's on Mud Island, okay.

And so essentially, the charges that he, um, what he's been charged with stem from some sort of falsifying Tennessee revenue, tax figures associated with a bar, and this dates back to 2020.

Right, 2020 to 2024-

Got a good view of the bridge, Mud Island.

And then we headed over to crosstown concourse um which was both good and bad yeah the good was this is like the coolest space I've been wanting to go and for whatever reason we just hadn't been yet and it is the coolest space like I can't think of another city other than like London that has space like this that is like one of those third spaces, you know? Yeah.

There's bars, there's like music, there's art.
