Tyson RewuckiHOST

Um, and then, you know, I don't know when the money kicks in the, the minute he picks up the phone and is willing to, or when he lands and stuff, there's stuff that to be worked out, but the jets do not have to play him.
Tyson RewuckiHOST
4:27
He's like any other player they can, you know, if they want to sort of have them, um, take part in practice or take part in a side session, you could very easily go, look, he needs to get into game shape, so we're going to put him on the side ice at Hockey for All Center and we'll have a goalie coach work with him or somebody work with him to get him up to shape while we practice and go forward for the next two weeks.
Tyson RewuckiHOST
4:49
And the league would
Jim TothHOST
4:50
probably go, okay.

Greg MacklingHOST

That's true
Brent McGarryHOST
4:47
... came to visit us when we were at the Hockey For All Centre, and it just so happened to coincide with our, the day of our monthly visit.
Brent McGarryHOST
4:55
And he says, "Hey, I got a, I got a deci- we've got a decision on the time change.
Brent McGarryHOST
5:00
We're sticking with daylight time year-round." And then of course, that is when people were starting to be a bit more vocal that it was the wrong decision.
Daniel FinkGUEST
49:16
Those weeks with the Moose were certainly important for their development.
Daniel FinkGUEST
49:20
Now they come in this season, there's no, where do I have to go at Hockey for All Centre? There's no, oh, what is Winnipeg? I understand, I'm comfortable, I know where I have to be, I know where I'm going.
Daniel FinkGUEST
49:33
And then baseball, I'm familiar with the systems.
Daniel FinkGUEST
49:36
Obviously, things change season to season.
Drew MindellHOST
3:54
And yes, they dropped it, but there's still more that they can give to even find a higher ceiling.
Drew MindellHOST
3:58
So I think that for a lot of people is the takeaway and probably what the room is saying as they will gather in a few hours time at Hockey for All Center for practice is that they'll say, yeah, we played well.
Drew MindellHOST
4:10
yeah, we did, you know, there were some good things, but there's still more for us to give.
Drew MindellHOST
4:14
And that I think is probably a pretty decent silver lining for the Winnipeg Jets.

Dave MinukHOST
93:54
Jamie's going to go and get some good stuff.
Dave MinukHOST
93:56
The Jets are hitting the ice.
Dave MinukHOST
93:58
10 minutes ago, like I said, there he goes at Hockey for All Center, and then they will be departing for Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Dave MinukHOST
94:05
First Detroit, then Pittsburgh, for tomorrow's 12 o'clock game.
Kelly MooreHOST
10:13
So the three stars for Avo Game Room are Kyle Connor, Stuart Skinner, and Jeremy Swayman.
Kelly MooreHOST
10:19
And really no time whatsoever for the Winnipeg Jets to bemoan a point that got away, uh, because, uh, they, uh, will have a quick skate tomorrow morning at Hockey For All Centre, then it's on the Big Bird to the Motor City, and back-to-back games, the first [laughs] of this year.
Kelly MooreHOST
10:35
Mitchell Clinton.
Mitchell ClintonHOST
10:36
Yeah, exactly.
Drew MindellHOST
2:11
Dave, you've been around the team more than basically anybody, along with all the rest of our assembled friends in the media.
Drew MindellHOST
2:17
Dave actually has a cot at Hockey for All Center.
Drew MindellHOST
2:19
I believe it.
Drew MindellHOST
2:19
It wouldn't surprise me in the least, but if Dave's got a little closet or something he can go take a nap in.
Ken WiebeHOST
9:30
I think this is a good move by Scott O'Neill.
Ken WiebeHOST
9:32
I think Cole Perfetti, having chatted with him outside of the scrums on one of the days at the Hockey for All Centre, he's highly motivated already to come into this year.
Ken WiebeHOST
9:41
He has the security of the extension, not going to have to worry about again, not in a complacency type of way, but won't be looking over his shoulder thinking, oh my God, I need a new contract.
Ken WiebeHOST
9:52
I need to put up all these points.
Jeff HamiltonGUEST
62:40
Um, you know, I think I, I saw Mike McIntyre tweet about it today.
Jeff HamiltonGUEST
62:45
I guess he was down at Hockey For All Centre at 10:30 for that avail and, and asked about it.
Jeff HamiltonGUEST
62:50
And, you know, there are new rules.
Jeff HamiltonGUEST
62:53
You know, there are new rules for, uh, preseason games.
Kelly MooreHOST
47:28
I've watched some of those.
Kelly MooreHOST
47:29
I've been able to get to Hockey for All Center early, and I've watched some of those sessions that he's had with Wade Flaherty.
Kelly MooreHOST
47:35
I was thinking flats will be like a pound pop-up.
Kelly MooreHOST
47:38
That's right.
Connor HrabchakHOST
0:34
Let's help preview the upcoming season for the Winnipeg Jets.
Connor HrabchakHOST
0:37
He was down at Hockey for All Center.
Connor HrabchakHOST
0:40
CGOB and Tyson did interviews with Kevin Sheveldayoff, Josh Morrissey.
Connor HrabchakHOST
0:44
So that'll be fun to talk to him about those.

15 MINS LATER

Lyss HoudeHOST
15:33
There's an element of the game that needs to be quick.
Lyss HoudeHOST
15:36
And when Viggo Bjork is doing that kind of cycling, whatever thing, he's slowing the game down a little bit, but it's because... kind of like cognitively right he's trying to find a way to speed it back up there are certain guys who play slow because they can't keep up there are certain guys who play slow because they slow it down themselves and they take that kind of control into their own hands and the puck is on their stick to try and find the optimal solution to whatever you know zone entry or offensive play they're trying to make and i think big was a great example of that and we see it sometimes from him and i'm hoping that you know we continue to see it and like you said he's able to to have those little flashes against mcdavid and dry saddle well that's probably the highest caliber of competition that you'll you'll ever face right especially the first couple months of your nhl career and then you'll just get better from there but yeah i think that you know there are some moments in which vigo bjork's not the fastest player on the ice but kind of slowing it down and not because he has to but because he can is is impressive and it showcases his skill set in a really interesting way
Connor HrabchakHOST
16:35
That tees us up well to move into training camp discussion and some of the lines that we saw this week down at the Hockey For All Center and some of just the overall things that we saw from players battling for jobs and players, you know, that maybe we didn't think they would have an opportunity to make the Winnipeg Jets roster, but they're getting that opportunity.
Connor HrabchakHOST
16:59
So here we go.
