I don't think that it works on its own very well.

Kamala especially comes with her own fairly extensive cast who are great in this film, but this is also an extremely abrupt introduction to the character.

This does not do a good job as an introduction to Kamala, although it is a very good extension of her story arc and is a very good extension from Ms. Marvel to the show.

I think Monica works a little better, but there's still a lot that happened in WandaVision that feels like a lot to gloss over.

Carol's really the only one who is a pretty good jump from just the last Captain Marvel movie, so if you've just seen the movies, you're fine watching it.

Of course, if you haven't just been watching the movies, this is not a great introduction for any of the characters.

This is just a continuation of all three.

And again, I say that with having liked the movie, but no, it's not a good jumping on point, especially for Kamala and Monica.

So I saw the Captain America movie.

Ms. Marvel movie, the Iron Man 1 and 2 movie, then Thor 1, and now I'm on Avengers 2, Avengers 1.

And somebody made a video going, you ever notice how Thanos had his gauntlet for his left hand and Tony made his gauntlet for his right hand? Then they focus how all the shit that happened to Tony's left hand.

But they didn't never mention, like Tony never mentioned his left hand was fucked up.

It has to be.

Because we've seen Kamala Khan written better.

And Ms. Marvel was fucking phenomenal to us.

People didn't like it because she just so happened to be fucking a woman.

The plot.

The film opens with Kamala Khan, Miss Marvel, now a confident and capable superhero balancing her life as a teenager and a... burgeoning Avenger.

B-U-R-G-E-O-N-I-N-G.

Is that it? Burgeoning? Yep.

Ms. Marvel's shapeshifting abilities, Captain Marvel's cosmic energy, Spectrum's energy manipulation, and the X-Men's mutant powers make for thrilling action sequences.

I can picture it in my head already.

Throughout the film, Kamala Khan's admiration for Carol Danvers deepens as they share their experiences as heroes and women.

The X-Men's introduction to the MCU adds a whole

Also in X-Men news, Marvel announced Fugitive X-Force, spitting out of Inglourious X-Force, Tim Seeley's, I think, kind of beloved run.
