MPH

Yeah, so I originally was doing my bachelor's in health science at Western, and I finished that up last spring.

And then I applied to a couple graduate programs, one of them being the Master's of Public Health at Western.

which is like a one-year accelerated Master's of Public Health program, because usually it's two years.

So I was lucky enough to get accepted into that.

And I just actually finished all my deliverables in that program.

And I think that deep thinking was really, really helpful because we had all demonstrated that.

that we can get a master's, right? We've all had one, whether it was an MPH or something else, like we've demonstrated we can do book work.

Getting your doctorate is not so much about proving that you can do the book work.

You've already done that.

What, how did that, those culminating experiences kind of shape how you show up as a professional? And maybe I'm just asking the same question, you're going to answer the same way, but I'll ask still.

I think first and foremost, I needed to realize my privilege as a white cis woman working amongst marginalized individuals.

I think I needed to really understand that privilege and what that meant for It's not something that we learned in like through our MPH or undergrad.

And so I think that's something that I needed to learn.
