Mount Vernon

That is awesome.

So have you guys always been located right here in Mount Vernon, like on this same property?

We have.

And I want to back up just a minute and say, when we first started our first sale, we started it as an online sale only.

And so he was well acquainted with you know, the farmers and that's how it all, the cattle side of things started for me, I guess, the interest, you know, seeing dad and what he was doing and so forth and so on.

And then I met my wife, Rita, Dahlman was her name, and her dad.

They're from Mount Vernon, and he had livestock also, and so it was kind of a mutual joining of, you know, mutual interests of the cattle side of things, and so that's how it all kind of started to develop, and you know, and we just went from there with it.

So you're running on three generations then?

I wanna make that as a key point.

So maybe let's talk a little bit, and I know at Mount Vernon you talked a little bit about some different options as far as feeding strategies for that backgrounding program.

And maybe it sounds like we need to look for a diet that they're going to be on during backgrounding that gets us to where we want to be for breeding.

And then what do we look at from breeding to calving?

And we'd love to hear from you all too.

If there's a particular location or group of folks that would love for us to come do it in your area, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I think we've done one in Columbia, we've done one in Mount Vernon, Missouri, but we're wide open.

We've got content and we'll travel.
