Mount Uhud

And Sahib Bukhari, Our mother Aisha radiallahu anha asks a question.

Ya Rasulallah, was there a day more difficult for you than what happened in Uhud? You lost your uncle, 70 shaheed.

We had to retreat back to the city.

Hamza was mutilated.

Was there a day in your life that was more painful to you than Uhud? And instantaneously, no hesitation, millisecond, the Prophet ﷺ said, yes, yes, Uhud loses in comparison with this day.

And that is the day of Ta'if.

So this incident, by the testimony of the tongue of the Prophet ﷺ, was the most painful, emotionally traumatic in the whole seerah.

Also the Helm of the Prophet when the angel came.

Did you face any day that was more difficult for you than the day of Uhud? And he said, yes, when I invited people to Islam and they rejected me and they harmed me and I just wandered sad.

And then Allah sent an angel.

He said, this day was harder than the day of Uhud.

The day when they tried to kill him.

And he said, sent me an angel.

The Prophet ﷺ, he heard it.

He was upset, he's upset, and he told them, he said, listen, those shins that you guys are laughing at, on the scale, on the Day of Judgment, wallahi, they are heavier than the mountain of Uhud.

The mountain of Uhud, right? So there are indications, in short, that also, in certain situations perhaps human beings as well will be placed on the scale in a way that Allah knows.

Again, this is the position, all three being placed on the scale is a position from a number of the scholars of Islam.

Now, from the deeds, from the deeds, what will be weighed? From your deeds, what will be weighed and put on the scale? Number one, every single thing that you did in life, good and bad, every single thing you did, good and bad, will be placed at that scale, right? So that would also include the things that you did while you were alive and continued for you after your death, good and bad.

So he knew about Quran and fiqh, matters in religion.

فَرَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا فِي فُرَاتِ إِبْنِ حَيَّانٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ مَعَ فُرَاتِ إِبْنِ حَيَّانٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا The Prophet ﷺ saw this man with a man called Furat and Abu Hurayrah فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ He told Furat and Abu Hurayrah قَالَ إِنَّ فِيكُمْ لَرَجُلًا ضِرْسُهُ فِي النَّارِ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ He says, there's a man with you, that his tooth is in the hellfire, and his tooth is bigger than Uhud, Jabal Uhud, the mountain of Uhud.

فَمَا زَالَ خَائِفَيْنِي حَتَّى ارْتَدَّ الرَّجَّالِ أَبُو هُرَيْرَ And Furat was scared, who's this man? Maybe it's us, maybe it's who's it.

So then they found out that it was al-Rajjal and he left the folds of Islam.

So it's about not limiting what we think Allah can do.

And having said that, when we look at battle of Uhud, we can see that things do not always go as expected, even when we put everything in place, even when we put all the plans in place.

And again, I've mentioned this, the analogy of the gardener or the farmer, if you like, you can plant all the seeds, tend to it, do everything you want to do to create, to have a good harvest.

And you may not have a good harvest.
