By 6:00 that Saturday night, roughly 200 law enforcement officers and search and rescue volunteers from Crater Lake National Park, Mount Rainier National Park, and Kings Canyon National Park came together to start looking for Sam.

According to an article by Strange Outdoors, in the days leading up to their hike together, Ken and Sam were staying with a few of Ken's family members in a cabin about 45 minutes north of the park, near another body of water called Diamond Lake.

Investigators highly doubted that Sam had taken off and would have been able to find his way back to where he and his dad were staying.

We had a couple of days or sorry, a couple of days in Vancouver, a couple of days in Victoria, three days in Seattle.

And then we went to Mount Rainier National Park and then Portland and a lot of, a lot of tourist attractions, museums, cute little shopping areas, uh, the famous like foods of different places.

So Portland is especially famous for donuts.

So we got to, you know, we tried a bunch of different beloved local donut stores.

Eric Lewis 57-year-old Eric Lewis was reported missing near the top of Mount Rainier while mountain climbing July 1, 2010.

Eric vanished when he became separated from his two climbing companions.

He went missing when they discovered that he had unclipped from the climbing rope at 14,000 feet and suddenly disappeared.

Anyone who may have information about Margaret's whereabouts is asked to contact the National Park Service Investigative Service Branch at 653-0009.

Dr. Sam DeBall 34-year-old Dr. Sam DeBall was reported missing on October 12, 2020, after he didn't come home from an overnight hiking trip to Mount Rainier National Park in Washington State.

Sam was last known to be hiking the Mother Mountain Loop out of the Mowich Trailhead.

When I woke up and... didn't comprehend what had happened.

The rescue team flew him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle when his pulse stopped.

We were at Mount Rainier.

It was awesome and quiet and peaceful.

And I was moody.

When I woke up and, uh, didn't comprehend what had happened.

What really happened to Lisa? How could she have eaten berries which didn't grow in the particular area? Was she making it all up, or had she possibly flipped into another dimension or something? Those are questions to which we may never have the answers.
