Mount Pritchard Mounties

Their women's side did well in the lower grades.

They lost the Harvey Norman women's state comp to Canberra's Fido in Mounties.

but an NRL grand final.

And similarly, a lot of their players pushed into flagging cup by the back end of the year.

So this was the third time that Newcastle had made the grand final in a row in three years, and everybody thought that this was their year, that they had the team, that they were going to be able to do it.

They were up against Mounties, who placed fourth in the regular season, but...

And it ended up being a 22-6 victory for Mounties.

Yeah, quite dominant.

Yeah, Newcastle was only able to score once.

yeah uh we we better touch briefly on new south wales cup q cup grand finals red cliff uh defeating sunshine coast in the in the q cup grand final and Also Penrith defeating Newtown in the New South Wales Cup.

It was a double for Penrith winning also the jersey flag at the Mounties getting over the Knights in the women's tackle.

And congratulations to all the staff and all their hard work.

And they're more than just a place to go and have a drink and maybe play the pokies.

They're a great social hub for people, especially at a time like we have at the moment where loneliness is rife.
