Mount Ord

But I won't go and do a contrived out-and-back for a certain thing most of the time.

I guess I did do one ride from Phoenix to Mount Ord, which is basically the tallest mountain you can see from town.

And it was like 160 and...

The challenging thing is there was 100 miles of no services, basically.

That was like the first trail run that I ever did.

And then Mount Ord marathon, um, which is a 4,000 foot, seven and a half mile climb.

That's just outside of Phoenix.

Um, that was like my first trail marathon that I ever did.

yeah i i think i just or all these years i'm still looking for the right one i don't know but we we see them generally every year and it's uh it's just a lot of fun to watch them over there and i remember one year we were hunting and there was a fire on um mount ord in that area and The Forest Service had locked the gates, and we're like, we can't get out of here.

Yeah, so we walked to the highway, and ironically, another Forest Service employee was driving by, and we were able to flag him down.

We just got lucky.
