Mount Makiling

So, for example, there is a particular mountain in a region of the Philippines called Laguna.

It is called Mount Makiling, and it is so called because its protective spirit is this mountain spirit named Maria Makiling.

And she actually used to disguise herself as a villager who would live in a little hut at the foothills of the mountain near a village tending to her garden.

And then in exchange for somebody helping her out with something, she gave him... something out of her garden, like a bit of like crops or something.
