Mount Crested Butte

This happened in Colorado, Mount Crested Butte.

Yes.

Uh, a bear was inside a house.

Yeah, it's definitely my training goal for next year.

Yeah, it's just beautiful up in the mountains, Gunnison, Mount Crested Butte, Salida, Buena Vista.

We just plugged your ride.

Firefighters were called to a home where a bear broke through a door, tore apart the inside of a house, and then started a fire in the kitchen.

The Crested Butte Fire Protection District said two people were inside the Mount Crested Butte home on the night of August 19th when the bear forced his way through a door, leaving behind a sizable butte hole.

The bear then broke through an entryway pane of glass to gain access to the residence.

Once inside, the bear got right to work.

And next to me is the author and adventurer Craig Childs.

We are in Crested Butte, the final bit of the sunset has just disappeared from Mount Crested Butte, and in short order, stars will begin to appear.

But Craig Childs, 80% of the people on Earth you write in your new book can't see the Milky Way?

The East River is beautiful.

You know, you've got, especially up towards the top where you get views of Mount Crested Butte and that mountain range up there.

Oh.

And then it goes, it's just kind of like an open vista.
