Mount Buffalo

I go with them regularly just to get out in the bush and whatnot.

With the aerial colouring in, like, the remote areas, say, like Mount Buffalo, in Hauqua, in the high country, a lot of those animals are just left there once shot.

Yep.

And then it's a feeding ground for all the wild dogs, which is an even bigger problem for a lot of people.

Foxes, whatever you...

But the wild dogs is a big one.

I've seen it personally with my own eyes in Mount Buffalo and in Hauqua of carcasses being...

Pillaged by wild dogs.

But there's all these points of interest... that are of genuine interest to a traveller.

An example I sometimes use is you could be driving along a mountain range and it's Mount Buffalo, but it only appears a buffalo from the west.

From the east, it's just a round rock.

So, oh, right, okay.

That's clearly Mount Buffalo there.

Or there's a homestead or whatever.

But there's also other points of interest for the traveller.

Cal, Cal might be there.

Um, but we're doing another 30-minute climb on top of Buffalo this year, so I think Jack, Jack might be the, the number one competitor.

Is Jack Ward going? Wow.

Well, he-- that was where he, uh, he was first found out two years ago.

That was his debut sort of big race, and then last year he wasn't there.

So this year I think he'll be back, but he is gonna have to find five minutes on me on Buffalo, 'cause he's in trouble in the TT.
