Mount Baldy Zen Center

I first came to Zen practice in the late '70s by doing a sesshin at Mount Baldy Zen Center, a Rinzai Zen center that no longer really exists, r- with, under the tutelage of Joshu Sasaki Roshi.

And I came to the sesshin without ever having sat a period of Zazen before.

I knew nothing about how to sit Zazen, what to do, how to get into the Zendo or anything.
