Um, it must have turned your world upside down, and, um, and you know, I'm sure there's all the medical stuff.

But in a way, you, you also then have become really an advocate, um, a cheerleader, um, a, a voice for caregivers in the ALS community, and there's an international alliance of ALS and motor neuron disease associations all across the world.

I think there's maybe 40, um, countries that are represented, probably more by now.

Um, and I've heard you speak at the conference more than once, um, about various topics, but one of them was about caregiving and your experiences.

But maybe we can start with, how did this talk even come about? Like, what led you to create this, um, and sort of start giving these talks?

Well, I've been giving the talk on, uh, family caregivers, Angels in Agony, for a very long time.

And it, I did it at the Motor Neuron, uh, Disease International Symposium through the Allied Health Professional's wing, and it was so widely received.

And then people came up to me afterwards with lots of comments, of course, but two or three people said, "We loved it.
