So, I need to see the new Mortal Kombat movies, too.

heard they were really good.

It was just a Tuesday.

I will still just randomly go, game over! For no reason whatsoever.

Also, everybody rips on the first Mortal Kombat movie, the one that came out.

I've never seen it.

The only other movie I think of his that I've watched that's outside of this franchise is Mortal Kombat.

Shit, okay.

Yeah, Event Horizon is not as good as everyone will tell you it is, but it is interesting, and it has that kind of same mean-spirited, chomping violence in it.

So for every Super Mario Brothers, there is a lean version of a video game that actually works.

So I'm thinking Mortal Kombat.

Paul W.S. Anderson, who directed the Resident Evil films, he did Mortal Kombat.

And for whatever reasons, that film worked.

It had a tongue in cheek sort of feel to it.

Surprisingly great fun.

You know, the Ace card might have been getting Jim Carrey and having him there as a fun villain, but they're good for what they are.

The latest Mortal Kombat movies have been enjoyable.

Different.

It's a, it's a good indie film, and from that he went to Hollywood and he made the first Mortal Kombat.

Which was a huge hit.

Um, but you know, I don't know how fondly...

I think people have come around on the first Mortal Kombat now, but it wasn't that very well received by critics at the time.

So here's what he says.

Quote, "I'm satisfied with the success of Mortal Kombat." Yeah, it made a lot of money.

"I can't imagine that movie having done better.

we're having fun in the theater because I didn't have any fun with that Mortal Kombat movie.

Well, hold on a

second.

Well, fun is a loaded word.

Fun can mean, like, this is stupid.

I guess as long as it's not miserable like that Mortal Kombat movie that I was just so bored.

And I started watching the second one.

I'm sorry, George A. Romero, but they were pretty bad.

And at that time, Paul W.S. Anderson was riding the high of Mortal Kombat, an incredible masterpiece of a film.

He was a big fan, and so he put in a script.

He wrote it specifically so that it could be made as a film on its own if it wasn't going to be picked up.

What horror series has that much amount of content? Or even video game series has that much amount of content? I mean, Super Mario only has, what, three movies? Legend of Zelda doesn't even have one.

Halo has one TV show.

What else would there be? Mortal Kombat has four movies.

I think technically four or five.
