Morrow County

Since the creation of the Renewable Fuel Standard, or the RFS, corn farmers have seen the benefits of using more corn to produce ethanol for domestic and global use.

Anthony Bush farms in Morrow County, and he's a board member for the Ohio Corn Marketing Program.

Well, one out of every three bushels we use, Ty, here in this state goes to ethanol.

It's an extremely important market for us.

That trend would continue upward if year-round E15 legislation passed out of Congress.

I want to go north to Morrow County, see the beautiful Cardington, Ohio, home of Alan Rogers.

Or I want to go, you know, up to Mansfield.

I want to go to Cleveland.

ODOT says if you're in that right lane, you must exit at 36 and 37, because they're going to have a barrier to keep you from going into the left lane.

So as you get north of Gemini, just say, where am I going here? Am I going to Cleveland? Am I going to Mansfield? Am I going to Morrow County? And if you are, get over in the left lane and stay there.

If you are going to exit at 36, 37, get in the right lane and stay there.

And be alert, because the person in front of you is a better than 50-50 chance a knucklehead, bad driver, not paying attention.

Yesterday, I was in Morrow County at Clark Farms.

Nate and his wife, Jessie, their two kids, farming about 1,500 acres.

They're just outside of Marengo.

They actually cleared something.

Engie's 860 megawatts of batteries in Crawford County, Pennsylvania, another 800 in Morrow County, Ohio, and LS Power bolting 455 onto its Hunterstown gas plant.

Real sites, real counties.

Real projects, sure, and a nameplate total.

We have some of the highest infant mortality rates in Ohio, maternal mortality rates.

But they aren't thinking about the fact that in Morrow County, they were already going 35 minutes to get to Delaware County.

And so this is a crisis in Ohio.

The one is in Mount Gilead, Ohio, which is in Morrow County, one of our three service counties.

And we met him there.

And it's a fully functioning dental clinic that is not open every day.
