Well, I watched the programme and it confirmed my worst suspicions, I have to say, that the culture in Angar, the Sheer Corner, which we were guaranteed would have changed in the light of the Morris Tribunal in relation to Donegal and in relation to the Disclosures Tribunal in relation to Morris McCabe and other matters, that that culture has not changed and that fundamentally on Garda Síochána is engaged in a strategy on a number of fronts to attack the messenger rather than to listen to the message about wrongdoing in the force.

In a lengthy statement to RT, On Garda Síochána said they consider the area of protected disclosures to be of the utmost importance, that the protected disclosures can be raised directly within the organisation or through the dedicated reporting channel independently operated by Transparency Ireland and they say that all allegations made to the disclosures under protected disclosures are taken seriously.
