First, we've got Olivia Diabo, or Diabo, I think.
Alex RobsonHOST
10:25
Olivia Diabo plays Morgan Le Fay.
Alex RobsonHOST
10:27
She's been credited previously on this show, as she is also the voice of star Sapphire in all of those T-Mart episodes that we saw.
Alex RobsonHOST
10:34
So next up, the first voice actor that we haven't seen before is Soren Fulton, plays Mordred, who's the kid.

John ReedHOST
71:22
Question number two, what is your favorite witch from a movie, show, or book? And this one I had to think pretty long and hard about this one because there's several characters that I really enjoy.
John ReedHOST
71:33
From all different, I'm thinking about some of the King Arthur stories and, you know, is it Morgana? Sometimes it's Morgana and sometimes it's a slightly different name.
John ReedHOST
71:41
Morgan, yeah.
John ReedHOST
71:42
Morgan Le Fay.
Hector MirayHOST
34:07
Who's like a witch lady.

And she is attempting to take over the world.
CJHOST
37:29
Nice.
CJHOST
37:29
Okay.
CJHOST
37:30
No, I was just thinking, so Morgan Le Fay, if you're not aware, is King Arthur's half-sister in Arthurian legend.
CJHOST
37:40
And so it's just interesting because Zeke Asher and I, we just finished the Great Illustrated Classics version of King Arthur.

But he goes back and tells his story and understands the moral of the adventure that he's been on finally and most fully.
JohnstonHOST
5:26
I know they do it in Fenric as well, and I know it's Fenric that kind of really gets the credit for it, but the Destroyer just looks fantastic.
JohnstonHOST
5:34
Jean Marsh as Morgaine is fantastic.
JohnstonHOST
5:36
One of the most interesting villains in Doctor Who history.
JohnstonHOST
5:39
It's a shame that, again, we don't really get to, well, we never do really get to see any more of her at all.

JimmyHOST

And while the archaeologist is telling that story, it's, yeah, it's brilliant.
JimmyHOST
14:59
And I think it's also, while the story is probably lighter than most of the season, there are some dark moments like that bit in the circle of chalk where Ace and Xiaoyun are being turned against each other and Ace has her racism moment that's like, wow, like you can't imagine anything another era of Doctor Who doing that like the new series era would not have even wanted to hint that a companion could do be bad like that and the earlier eras wouldn't have wanted to touch it but yeah it's a really dark moment there um And yeah, I also love the way Ace, when she does give them up the sword and the Doctor's little line about exotic alien swords are easy to come by, but Aces are rare and it's such a sweet little moment.
JimmyHOST
15:46
And I also love Morgaine's portrayal, like the way the Doctor's speech about nuclear weapons actually convinces her, like the Doctor doesn't have to defeat her.
JimmyHOST
15:55
He manages to turn her around.
Vince BHOST
68:47
Yes.
Vince BHOST
68:49
From Jason Blood sharing physical space with Etrigan to Camelot and Morgan Le Fay being the villain and Merlin, who is Etrigan's half-brother.
Vince BHOST
69:04
Yeah.
Vince BHOST
69:07
I thought it was great, but...
Kate HeartfieldGUEST
10:03
I think one of the things I love about fairies in Shakespeare is that, you know, at that time in the 16th century, there is this sort of collapsing of a lot of traditions of these medieval traditions and the folklore traditions like Selkies and that kind of thing, and the pucks of the English folklore and the elves of English folklore and different, you know, Northern European beings.
Kate HeartfieldGUEST
10:28
along with the fairies that we see in the French romances, for example, which tend to be more like the, you know, the Morgan Le Fay style of fairy.
Kate HeartfieldGUEST
10:39
And so all of these, you know, if you look at Midsummer Night's Dream or even Queen Mab, they are both small and big at once.
Kate HeartfieldGUEST
10:45
They are both benevolent and malevolent at once.
