What do you got for your forward lines for the Flames coming up this season?

Yeah, so I kind of hinted at it yesterday, but I like Gritton, Frost and Coronado together.

I think there's a chemistry there.

I think a lot of the pieces kind of fit when you think of like the playmaking ability that I think Frost can show.

Coronado, the finisher and Gritton, kind of both.

And also the speed and skill that can help kind of create a little bit of space and use that creativity to open things up.

But I'm going to start off the same way you did.

Nobody really understands what happened to Jonathan Huberto after the trade.

They've got a Morgan Frost, who I kind of like, but again, there's just little pieces.

If he's back in his natural position with someone like Ball or Middleton beside him, I'm okay with that too as long as he is getting you know genuinely when it comes down to it top pairing minutes or at least similar minutes to Nemitz I'm okay with that if he's running the power play unit the first power play unit I'm okay with that second unit that's you know I'm okay with that as well with a little compromise there.

but no matter what it does not matter to me which side of the defense he plays as long as he's playing a lot this is the year to make mistakes let him play a lot let him learn from his mistakes so that he can be awesome for the future but that's kind of just my piece on that one final question is actually about morgan frost so is morgan frost a long-term answer in the top six right now the flames motives are clear get younger and keep building through the draft for the future with the team hoping to put together a core built around Reschne, Carls, Wittenbach, and this increasingly exciting prospect pool.

I mean, not to mention guys like Wolf, Parek, Gridden as well.

They're hoping to land a top three pick in the 2027 NHL draft to find a cornerstone center.

Well, I mean, they're hoping to win the cup at this point, but we know what it means.

And with Reshne likely to arrive by the end of this season, this puts the pressure on Morgan Frost to answer a key question.

Last season, after the deadline, Frost came alive as the Flames 1C alongside Gritton and Coronado, but his potential as a viable 1C is very unlikely in the NHL, so training camp is another opportunity for him to prove that at the very least he deserves a long-term deal as their 2C.
