Morgan City

Assumption gets a lopsided, and the score's not posted on the LHSCA.

I think it was 55 to nothing win against Morgan City, where it was Assumption a lot, Morgan City very little.

Um, they, they roll there, as you would expect against Morgan City, taking care of business there.

Uh, ED White gets their first, 42 to nothing against South Terrebonne.

They roll and get a decisive win.

Uh, we was excited going into the game because he had a great week of practice.

Um, and I, and like I said, uh, uh, uh, at first quarter a little rough, but after that, I think he never looked back.

Look, man, th- they're high school kids, and it's homecoming week, and they're facing a Morgan City team that on paper you guys should be better than.

That was a tough matchup there.

Single A, we had Central Catholic of Morgan City fall to Vermillion Catholic, 25 to 13.

We got a handful of games in our area tonight.

By and large, most of the coastal schools played on Thursday.

I mean, we got a ton of games around the state.

But locally, we kind of sort of flipped the page.

Assumption and Morgan City is tonight.

And they got a handful of others.

I, I, I think this week and next week, two big, big games.

You got Ellender, then uh, homecoming, uh, against Morgan City.

I, I think these two are, are very big, big, uh, games for the Tarpons, not in a sense where you're gonna move up a whole heck of a lot, but not moving down-

Yeah, for sure

Shout out to the Lady Tarpons on Monday.

They got a big win against Central Catholic of Morgan City to bounce back up on the horse after having a tough weekend.

So our local volleyball teams are cruising.

Look, we were talking to our buddy Coach Reggie Easerman yesterday, and he said that he went to a middle school volleyball game.

Look, I'm behind too far down the chute to worry about it.

You know, we got a big one tomorrow night.

So we'll just try to get through tomorrow night and then get ready for Morgan City.

And then we'll cross the December bridge when we get to December.

We thank her so much for the time here on Play by Play, doing a great job with her team.

They got a big win yesterday, taking care of business against Central Catholic of Morgan City.

And look, they're in a good spot, bro.

You went through what I think is going to be the roughest patch that you've had, a four-match losing streak where a little shorthanded at the tournament, and you didn't tumble.

So, yeah, we hope that that changes a whole lot.

Sterlington is a very high-caliber program.

You scroll down, South Terrebonne is sitting at 21 right now, Assumption 22 right now, and then Ellender and Morgan City got work to do.

Ellender's 40, Morgan City's 42.

I..." Only half the teams played.

W- Ellender didn't play, CCA didn't play, Destrehan didn't play, Morgan City didn't play, Central Catholic and Hansen didn't play.

It was only half of the, the games last night.

So, so a shortage was not a factor last night, it was just bad.

True story.

Brian was my, uh, the ride last night.

I met him in Morgan City.

He drove us from Morgan City to Patterson.

Mustang's very selective, like...

He's going to go to Morgan City and he's going to pack it.

And then he's going to maybe do Morgan City.

I think he might do it more than once a year.

It might be twice or three times.

We're ready to go.

Yeah, look, we already had our first round of showers here out in Morgan City.

We here as well.

This morning I heard a little rain on the roof.

We're ready to go.
