Morecambe and Wise

I don't think even as a kid I was that much of a major fan.

Wasn't like Morecambe and Wise or the two Ronnies.

but I was a big fan.

Do you think this film would have worked as a vehicle, say, for Little and Large? Or Morecambe and Wise?

Yeah.

I mean, I knew them all, you know.

And again, me and Robin say, you know, who's left? You know, it's like, I remember Blackpool when you had the Central Pier, North Pier, South Pier, and you could have Dick Emery on one pier, Morecambe and Wise on another, Larry Grayson on another.

And now it's just tribute stuff, really.

Lena, just to go back to your TV series briefly.

Yes, I should have said no a lot more times than I did.

I should have turned a lot down, but I was enjoying it and excited about it.

I remember I did a five-month summer show in Blackpool with Morecambe and Wise and Matt Munro and a whole crowd of us.

And it ran for five months with 14 shows a week.

I wish they'd done that in the manner of the news bunny on live TV, if you remember him, who'd react to atrocities by shedding a tear.
