And then, you know, well behind him was his sea of warriors that would be taking part in this battle.

So, Mile, he ruled a kingdom called Moray, which was a large area in the north of Scotland.

And Sigurd wanted to conquer it.

And so today, Sigurd and Mile were meeting in the middle of this really potential battlefield with their respective armies waiting in the wings, you know, behind them.

With 400 runners, we're a tad smaller than the usual big events that you chat about, but we are a club event and have a cracking wee course.

It starts and finishes in the grounds of Brodie Castle in Moray and autumn leaves add to the scenic views.

It's the Forres Harriers Brodie Castle 10K on the 18th of October, so only four weeks away.

You know, trying to make it real for folk listening in or watching, I'm right in saying, I think, and you can correct me here, that prior to the shake-up you talked about in the mid-'90s, it was the Grampian region, which was Moray, Aberdeenshire, and Aberdeen City, Now, I just wonder, in terms of one of the bigger authorities, if they're looking to go back to that type of arrangement.

Now, I was just a young boy at the time, but by and large, Michael, just on your assessment, I thought that that was viewed as reasonably positive as these things can be in terms of the Grampian region working as one of the larger ones.

Obviously, the district council's within that, but what was your assessment of that from your time here?

It's not that, it's a bit of fun, Sunday League stuff.

It's very serious stuff nonetheless, but you know what I mean? The players don't need it in the neck when they're travelling long distances, especially up in the Highlands of the Moray in the Aberdeenshire area.

I think he's right to give them both barrels.

But if he gets a similar performance after the KDM Challenge Cup, where does he go from there? I think it's interesting that a lot of players have just been signed up to new deals also.

Usually two retreats a year where people come up to the coast here in Moray where I live and where it inspired me to start photography.

And it's a mixture of mindfulness, photography and connection.

Connection is so important to me, you know, because photography helped to connect me with myself, with nature and others.
