Moorgate

Mason, when he was born, I went back to work after eight weeks.

um which was a challenge I'd set that up myself but I hadn't quite realized um I really changed as soon as I had him even uh being pregnant I remember being massively overdue and being on the floor in Moorgate and like looking under an oven and I don't know it was dirty or something and absolutely kicking off and then just looking at me going Shireen like you're you're heavily pregnant like you should be getting induced why are you on the floor in Moorgate looking under an oven and And I'm like, no, it needs to be done.

And then when Mason came and I was like, oh, OK, this is what everyone's told me about.

And yeah, I went back to work and, you know, work super supportive.

And again, uh, working in visual effects, yeah, kinda brought me to Soho, and even before that I was working at a visual-- uh, not visual effects.

Uh, a video-- I was working as a video editor in a financial training company, and again, that was in London in Moorgate.

And um, yeah, so I've kind of always just been in the London bubble really.

And so did you ever have that experience in your early years of like going to the Prince Charles and watching some indie film like on a Tuesday or something like that? Was that kind of you growing up, Brooke? Or were you more or less kind of like a, a closet film nerd that was-

Because I suppose

sometimes that transition, I don't know if you had this and you can tell me if you went from a certain lifestyle when you were at Moorgate and working and maybe drinking and partying and you had friendships there and you changed your lifestyle more towards running and outdoors and being active.

Was there sort of a break in the friendship there?

Nah, I still hang around with people that don't run ultras.

But you might figure out, you don't want to.

You figure out that might not be possible for everyone.

So there's still people that will be working in Moorgate and, and sort of passing through life, you know, and having to not be able to do that, you know, despite wanting to.
