Moonshiners

I'm not telling you these things to put any type of fear into your heart, but so that you could understand what's happening in this generation and know how important it is to put on the whole armor of God in this hour.

While I was on the television show on the Discovery Channel called Moonshiners, we did meet and greets where we would go and meet with people in different towns all over the United States.

I got a call to do a meet and greet in a small town in Virginia in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

And it's about 12 hours from my home here in Kentucky.

You have to be able to talk on some sort of, I'm not gonna say a clinical level.

But having a very solid AP biology background from high school and then a continued curiosity that I was able to develop in other shows that I did earlier in my career, like, like MythBusters, um, even in Moonshiners where you deal with basic science that you need to communicate to the masses.

And so you gain a, you gain a- A genius's trust, like say you're talking to the veterinarian who's the genius in this situation, you gain their trust by at least making the attempt to show them a good example of putting a tough concept into a simple phrase.

And once you do that and you start that parlance, that's when I felt like I connected best with my doctors.

The woman just- she kept giving.

And she still has relatives that live there, and I was, um, at the Moonshine Run a couple weeks ago with Richard Petty, and, uh, Dolly Parton's niece, and the Moonshiners.

And I- I'm like, "You just..." These people know who she is.

They know what kind of person she is.
