Jim Morrison, oh my gosh.

No, dude, Van Morrison at Astral Weeks, Moondance, Mystic.

Yeah, man.

That's what happens when you have three weeks off.

Dude, Van Morrison, you'd be hard-pressed to find.

You had Blow In Your Mind, which had Brown Eyed Girl, and then Astral Weeks, which is one of the best albums, I think, of the 60s maybe ever.

And then Moondance, a little Tupelo Honey, St. Dominic's Preview.

I mean, that dude was churning out.

And we had a backing tape that was never changed and only stopped when someone put a song on the jukebox.

Moondance was one of the songs.

Indeedy.

And I think I've heard this and the Waterboys over a thousand times during that year.

And, you know...

He's not alone in being able to do this, but there are, in his canon, there are songs where he gets like that.

Again, I mean, and it stoned me off Moondance.

Into the Mystic, which I think is played in American Pie.

... to dig into Van Morrison's Moondance.

Why don't I give my sort of backstory to Moondance, and then we'll get started.

So Moondance is Van Morrison.

Um, I, I didn't have a lot, and then so I just decided to pick up some of the, the stuff I'm purging.

I'm purging this one, Van Morrison, "Moondance."

Mm.

It's really good.

And this, this song was the one that almost, like, would be playing as I was pulling into the parking lot.

And so, like, every time I hear the song "Moondance," um, that song was always, like, playing as I pulled into the parking lot, so it always just, like, it really calms me.

So, but that record, I don't really care for it that much.

It-- This is just one of those songs that just seems to put a smile on your face, and it never gets old.

Gail has requested "Moondance" by Van Morrison.

What a wonderfully rhythmic song.

I do remember this blaring out of my friend's place as I walked in her front door and just falling in love with Van Morrison on that day and, and, uh, just such, such powerful lyrics and powerful music.

This is a perfect song for a little imaginary dancing around the kitchen or the lounge room or in Gail's ca- ca- case, possibly around the Yackandandah markets.

Or maybe I might have a bit of a dance in the studio.
