Moomintroll

Oh, yes.

And the thing about them is even though they're kids' stories, they sort of aren't, and if you read them again and knowing how autobiographical parts of it are, and the fact that she is Moomintroll and the Snorkmaiden and, you know, and sh- it was at a time when she couldn't, um, basically be out, you know, as a, as a lesbian, so it's, you know, th- that is so clear.

And the fact that she had this kind of feckless, um, father who was a painter, and so was her mother, but her mother kind of grafted away and kept them all fed and everything, and her father was just, like, off on one grand scheme after another.

So if you know the books, you've got the characters of Moominmama and Moominpappa, and they're like that.
