We do have problems with AI, with certain components of our courses in terms of...

even things like quizzes on Moodle that use images or figures, students can now plug those into AI and things that we thought initially were AI proof are not anymore.

And so walking that line between the students doing something that's authentic to jobs they might have, or if they were going into research, what would you need to do in that context? and acknowledging AI, but a lot of it's about giving them confidence in their own skills because we all know tech will fail at some point with something.

And so even if yes, every day in your job, maybe you use AI to structure a report or to bring together pieces and tell you what order to work with them in, there'll be some point where it doesn't work for you or where you move to a different system and you might have to rely on all of those kind of more primary skills that that might have been really informed by an experience in the in the field so a really interesting question we haven't dealt with it in the field i mean i

So that was another thing in mind.

And I would do want to emphasize like it took me knowing the ins and outs of the software that I'm building for, which is the Moodle application.

So is Moodle a military thing? I don't know that application.

It's not, it's an open source learning management system.

Um, we do use it in the Marine Corps.

And then asked for some different graphics that were associated with the source material, essentially, that I could use in an interactive book in a course.

Okay.

And we're experiencing what you're sharing on your screen right now is the LMS, the Moodle LMS.

Or you can do it through your learning management system.

So you have Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L, all of those as well.

There's pros and cons of all of these, right? If you're going to use publisher platforms for online quizzes and things, well, there's going to cost some money.

And so therefore, is it actually worth it? I always say you got to make sure those bells and whistles are worth the dollars that either you as the instructor or more likely your students are paying to access these tools.

into Moodle's season as like an advisor.

And What we are working with TechStream is more of that detection engineering to look at how do we identify threat actors that may be leveraging AI at a much faster pace to identify vulnerabilities and exploit them.

And if we identify something, how do we take protective action? So as an example, if I have a dummy LMS, a learning management system, a dummy Moodle instance, and if we see AI agents poking through against it to go, okay, what can I do? exploit in this LMS, we can collect their IP address.

We can collect the kind of activities they were doing.

We can collect other kind of indicator of compromise.

So Canva isn't limited to Google Classroom.

It also integrates with several other learning management systems, including Canvas, Schoology, Moodle, D2L, and Blackboard.

So this typically requires LMS administrator access, so it may need to be enabled by your school or district level administrators.

And again, that's by the technical administrator, probably not your, uh, campus principal, although it could be.

You're using a platform like Teams or Classroom?

moodle and teams right okay so all the students are well aware of how to use it and so it wasn't it wasn't a massive factor at the end that caused huge disruption

no no like i know computer science they had to come in and do other classes face to face when at the end so Some departments went online, some just stayed face-to-face.

And these kids did not finish.

They missed their last presentation.

And they all had to record their presentation and upload it to Moodle.

But they already did it beforehand.

And if they hit the mark for the next level, then they would level up.

And when they leveled up within the LMS system that we use, Moodle, I had a forum in there for Practicum Slayer.

And they would get a new piece of the story.

Okay.

So it was like a glowing orb or like a fox brought them like a water scheme or whatever.

So you amassed all of these items as well.

And the whole story up to that point was in the Moodle, so you could go back and look at it.

That's really cool.

Other is the knowledge base.

Now, if you go on Moodle, if you go other platforms, There are very 15 to 20 minutes programs which you can go, not the AI programs.

It's just a program which has been created so that you can learn the ABC of the digital health tools.

So I would say, first, you need to have the motivation.

Then you can ask your hospital and trust that you are very, very keen.

And then third thing is that Do it by experience.

And the fourth one, if you have time, it's better to have the basics sorted and go on those Moodle course.
