So it becomes in its own way, after decades of this, its own sort of self-fulfilling prophecy but you know props to those guys for calling games in the world series and props to that organization for a run like any other no other minor league team i mean you can find any other minor league team you can probably find an alumni or two through the years who might have made it to the majors but nothing like patucket now worcester uh doing it so consistently over the course of almost four decades now

yes Montgomery Biscuit, there is a great clip, you can look it up on YouTube, of Joe Davis calling a game for the Montgomery Biscuits as a train goes past the stadium during a game.

There's a train track right beyond the outfield at Riverwalk Stadium.

And Joe Davis says something to the effect of, as a train goes by, maybe they're listening.

And of course that goes for the broadcasters, but yeah, good call on Joe Davis too.

Joe Davis was sharing a story on the Pressbox podcast, part of the Ringer Network, in which he said, and this goes back when radio broadcasts were not so easy to find, I think, online.

And there was a guy for ESPN just clicking around trying to find minor league baseball and happened to listen in to Montgomery Biscuits.

I try to find what I can do better the next game.

And that's not for somebody who thinks that I'm cheering for the Dodgers or somebody who you get to this stage thinks that I'm cheering for the Rays because I was the Montgomery Biscuits announcer a decade ago.

I don't think that that's the right way to kind of set your aim.

The Hershey Bears play in the AHL, the equivalent to AAA, while the Orlando Solar Bears play in the ECHL, equivalent to AA.

Since the Bears are the Washington Capitals affiliate and the Solar Bears are a Tampa Bay Lightning affiliate, this would be like if the Rochester Red Wings played the Montgomery Biscuits.

Question, how is the PWHL picking names for expansion teams? The PWHL picks its team names based on local culture and heritage.

The logos were designed by Younts Design Incorporated, while the identities themselves were developed in partnership between the PWHL and a creative agency named The Flower Shop.

Big Mo is their mascot.

It's a large orange creature who loves biscuits, but is himself not a biscuit.

I love that they just like go into a room and it seems like they're like put two words together and see if they work for a logo.
