In the meantime he was gathering materials to make bombs and learning how to prepare them.

That July he and his brother may have gone to Saint-Étienne and Montbrison with the intention of blowing up the house of the magistrate in Ravachon's trial down there.

And I went to Saint-Étienne to try to find if he actually went there, and the police think he did, but I have no positive proof of that.
