George CannonGUEST
11:59
He goes, that was cool.
Jono RicherGUEST
7:55
and uh coming out of 2024 we felt like we really had an album that we were ready to do um and then in 2025 um we were like you know we're like okay let's record this so we went and found our producer uh named keith armstrong we got in the rehearsal room for maybe like two months and um rehearsed all the music and that's kind of really like was the last phase of where everything really came together We feel like we're predominantly really a live band, and so when we can actually get together and play the songs in a room, play loud, and really workshop them, that was a really special time for us to be able to do that.
Jono RicherGUEST
8:34
We also were really fortunate because right in the middle of our rehearsals for the album, we played the Monsters of Rock Cruise in 2025.
Jono RicherGUEST
8:39
Hell yeah.
Jono RicherGUEST
8:41
Yeah, so we got a chance to go and play the songs live, um see get some of our fans response like get a feel for what it actually the songs actually feel like out in the world and then um after that we came back finished up rehearsals uh started doing pre-production in april of 25 recorded the whole album in uh may of 25 and you know uh did some post-production and stuff like that after that and then have been sitting around waiting for like eight months for it to come out now so
Don JamiesonGUEST
8:45
Well, yeah, we do.
Don JamiesonGUEST
8:46
So Punchlines and Backlines, we mostly do on the Monsters of Rock cruise or a KISS convention.
Don JamiesonGUEST
8:55
We just did it at the festival in Tennessee, the Mountain Music Festival.
Don JamiesonGUEST
9:01
And it's basically like, you know, the old saying of like, you know, every every comedian wants to be a rock star.
Don JamiesonGUEST
9:15
comedians and that really that kind of entails like what you just did with me yeah like we just get on a facetime together and we say hey tell us some stories tell us some funny stuff if you have backstage stories that you tell that are funny like just you know and and her and i sit there and we take notes the whole time And then we kind of just, you know, chop it up, tighten a few screws, edit it a little bit, and then present it in a more stand-up comedian way.
Don JamiesonGUEST
9:43
So in other words, like my biggest... thing about your your joke is like the the beginning needs to be chopped down to one one line for a setup right but but there's there's a great nugget in there so that's you that's really what we do so these rock stars are kind of writing their own material and um you know we just give them We just give them structures and, you know, we put them, you know, in front of their fans.
Don JamiesonGUEST
10:09
You know, everybody on the Monsters of Rock cruise loves, you know, Todd Latore, the singer from Queensryche or Red Beach, the guitar player from Winger or whoever it may be.
Don JamiesonGUEST
10:20
And they really score up there, man.
Don JamiesonGUEST
8:59
Well, yeah, we do.
Don JamiesonGUEST
9:00
So Punch Lines and Backlines we mostly do at, on the Monsters of Rock Cruise or, you know, like, a Kiss convention.
Don JamiesonGUEST

Um, and it's basically, like, you know, the, the old saying of, like, e- you know, every, every comedian wants to be a rock star.
Don JamiesonGUEST
10:12
So these rock stars are kind of writing their own material, and, um, you know, we just give them, we just give them structures.
Don JamiesonGUEST
10:20
And, you know, we put them, you know, in front of their fans.
Don JamiesonGUEST

Right
Jason McMasterHOST
14:16
yeah.
Jason McMasterHOST
14:17
Ari, ironically fitting this part of the story, Ari, the singer for Adler, which I saw on the Monsters of Rock Cruise earlier this year, standing next to Johnny Kelly, and Alex, ironically, was filling in on guitar because they were missing a guitar.
Jason McMasterHOST
14:38
Adler, one of the guitar players, couldn't make it or something.
Jason McMasterHOST
14:42
And so I had just seen Quiet Riot on the boat, and then Alex had to, thank you, good night, grab his guitar and run to the pool stage and get up on stage and play Adler's set.
