Monroeville

That's gonna be a big one on Saturday.

They're gonna be hosting Monroeville and Toledo Notre Dame Academy in a tri-match, and then they get the rematch against Perkins next Tuesday.

All of those teams state ranked in their respective divisions.

It's gonna be an interesting week here for the Lady Trucker volleyball team.

Yeah, we'll see how they make it through it.

Uh, I'm sure that the- they have, uh, high expectations, high goals, and, uh, in, in those matches, some of those are non-league games like Monroeville, like a Notre Dame Academy.

So you wanna win that, but maybe you learn something if you, uh, end up falling in one of those matches.

And it's gonna get started here tonight on the road against Huron.

So far this season for the Trojans, they've got wins over Mansfield Christian, New London, Lucas, Western Reserve, and Sandusky St. Mary.

Their losses so far have come against Mapleton, Hillsdale, Ashland, Crestview, and St. Paul and Monroeville.

However, they did manage to take a set against that Eagles squad.

not quite able to take a set against saint paul but they kept those sets fairly close when those two met up so it's a scrappy bunch they don't give up on any kind of play and even though they're two and four in the firelands conference they're one of those teams that might be trying to spoil things for the front runners getting into the second half

Oh, they definitely do.

Those wins, you can see that they can beat some decent teams in a new London and a Western Reserve game.

And getting that one set win over Monroeville says a lot as well.

But for South Central, they're busy right now.

On one side a sea of black, the other an ocean of red as a rivalry is renewed tonight for the first time in the 2026 season on the Stein, Olsen, and Stang CPAs High School Volleyball Match of the Week.

It's St. Paul hosting Monroeville with a Firelands Conference supremacy on the line tonight as well as multiple streaks going back the last few seasons with these two clubs.

Thanks for joining us tonight.

I'm Chris Morgan alongside Josh Bowman.

St. Paul on beating

6-0 right now, 6-3.

For Monroeville, and these are the two programs around here.

When it comes to small school volleyball, these two teams have been the dominant teams in the area for I don't know how long.
