Mononym

This is The Lionel Show, L-I-O-N-E-L.

One name, like God, mononymous.

I say that not out of any kind of disrespect or blasphemy.

One time there was an Indian cab driver, years ago when we had Indian cab drivers.

And one day, there was a fellow who apparently recognized my, my rather unique voice, my intonations, the dulcet register that I exude with a certain degree of sonority all my own.

And he said he seemed to recognize me.

And he says, uh, "Are you Lionel?" I said, "Yes." He goes, "Lionel what?" I said, "Well, um, you know, mononymous, uh, Lionel, like, uh, like Elvis, Cher, uh, Liberace," a bad example.

Uh, you know.
