And because Ivankov and Luffy made contact during Marineford, the revolutionary army might also come.

What happens here is that they arrive after the Big Mom Pirates group, and Dragon and Saabo join Luffy and the others in fighting the Gorosei.

This gives them a better chance at surviving, but as we all know, the pirates aren't the only ones who could summon reinforcements.

It is none other than the God's Knights.

Moments after the fighting begins, the Gorosei feel that the tide of the battle is against them, so they instantly summon the God's Knights to even the playing field.

We actually don't know how strong the God's Knights are, but if they have the authority to casually execute a Celestial Dragon like Donquixote Mjosgard, then they must be quite formidable.

This spells a lot of trouble for the alliance because their only hope now is that either Luffy, Big Mom, Kaido, and the others manage to defeat the Gorosei or another strong crew arrives to back them up.

I know the Whitebeard Pirates and the Giant Pirates are already insanely OP assets, but consider just how much damage the admirals could do, especially when combined with the God's Knights.

Now, it may not have come directly from the Five Elders, because we know, obviously, as you go on, you learn a little bit more about Dolph Lamingo, Dolphie, and his relationship with the Celestial Dragons and the Five Elders.

And there's a lot to unpack there, and it would need its own episode to try and get into the mind of Dolph Lamingo and all his ramblings.

So he was there as well for his own personal entertainment.

So that was a massive deterrent, this idea that the certain territories within the New World was flying the banner and the flags of pirate crews that basically were there to deter other pirates from messing with those islands.

And this doesn't just extend to the idea of protecting these locations from other pirates and bandits.

It was also a massive discouraging factor to the Celestial Dragons and as well as the World Government and the Marines because you've got to remember that Marineford wasn't ideal.

And none of them are dressed up in the typical ways of the, um, Celestial Dragons.
