We'd be looking at gendered violence as a whole across Australia.

So we'd have a look at what are governments failing to do?

Because at the moment, any young person can go into a convenience store or one of these tobacco stores in electorates like Kooyong and buy a packet of cigarettes for somewhere between $7 and $10.

Uh, with that being the case, we can change the law about the excise, or we can talk about the excise, but people are always gonna subvert the law, and the criminal elements are effectively operating unchecked.

So we'll see what comes out of that.

And some independent MPs, including Monique Ryan and Helen Haines, have renewed calls for merit-based and more transparent processes for handing out grants.

[upbeat music] And speaking of barrels, we're gonna change tack from pork barrels to oil barrels because the price of oil has jumped again overnight.

It's cracked $100 US a barrel, that's about 138 Australian dollars, and it hasn't been that high, it hasn't cracked that $100 mark since July.
