[paper rustles] [chime] Today I'm here with Dr. Monifa McKnight, author of Full Flight: Lessons in Leading as a Black Woman in Education, which is out now.

Today, we're gonna be looking into what your book is about, who it's for, and how it came to life.

So Dr. McKnight, welcome to Author Hour.

And so that's o- one outcome that I absolutely wanted to achieve.

Another is, you know, what are the specific interactions, lessons that Black women should be aware of that can make them feel better prepared for what they may be ready to walk into, and also feel like, make them feel confident as they walk into those leadership positions.

So when this innocuous thing shows up on their doorstep, an experience, they're like, "Oh, I read about that in Monifa McKnight's book.

You know, she talked about this.
