That, like, if this movie had been released a different weekend, this movie would have launched her into stardom.

Because she is... she's not just phenomenal in this performance.

Yeah.

It's the right kind of capitalism.

I didn't remember that she's Monica Rambeau.

She looks very different.

The Marvels, one of our favorite movies.

Monica Rambeau awakens in another universe and meets the variant of her mother, Binary, and encounters Beast.

Not paid off.

We're making assumptions it will be paid off, but it has not been paid off yet.

Cause the ones, the least most recent ones we're expecting them to be.

Um, The one with Monica Rambeau and her mother with Beast.

Are we going to see those three characters together in Doomsday? There's

He loves to talk about the characters.

commissions are absolutely insane.

Totally worth it.

When he adds color onto them, it's just absolutely crazy.

He's one that I would get a full-size Monica Rambeau commission and be thrilled to

get it.

Unfortunately, this starts to mess with the entire network of jump points across the universe.

When Carol investigates one of them at the same time as Monica Rambeau investigating another one, the two somehow get tangled up with a kid named Kamala Khan.

Let's call her Miss Marvel-

They maybe give you five seconds of setup as to who she is, but she's already a superhero.

She's already got an established world.

And, uh, even Monica Rambeau, like, if you didn't watch [laughs] uh, WandaVision, you have no idea who she is.

No clue.

This does not do a good job as an introduction to Kamala, although it is a very good extension of her story arc and is a very good extension from Ms. Marvel to the show.

I think Monica works a little better, but there's still a lot that happened in WandaVision that feels like a lot to gloss over.

Carol's really the only one who is a pretty good jump from just the last Captain Marvel movie, so if you've just seen the movies, you're fine watching it.

Of course, if you haven't just been watching the movies, this is not a great introduction for any of the characters.

This is just a continuation of all three.

And again, I say that with having liked the movie, but no, it's not a good jumping on point, especially for Kamala and Monica.

if I agree with that.

Okay, so me and Jazz talked about it, but what do y'all think about the two X-Men, two X-Men timeline theory, where there is a set of X-Men, these guys, but there's a set where Monica Rambeau is, or do y'all think it's just one set of X-Men?

Monica Rambeau is also the same, also has Hank, and Hank is in this set.

I think there might be, I think there's multiple sets of X-Men on multiple timelines, just like there's multiple Wolverines and multiple Deadpools, but I don't think they're interchangeable.

I guess the real question is is Monica Rambeau in this movie? Are we getting Monica Rambeau? No.

Hank is in this movie.

I don't think we're getting Monica Rambeau.

I think we're going to get her in Secret Wars.

In Secret Wars.

[smacks lips] Uh, then we hear that Monica Rambeau will reportedly appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, where she will be under Dr. Doom's control.

So some people have been asking about her.

Some people have been asking about Binary.
