So tell us a little bit about Schillings.

You have showrooms and places that people can go and shop in northwest Indiana and also in Mokena.

So give us a little background about Schillings.

So Schillings is a locally owned, family run building materials and home improvement company that has served northwest Indiana and Chicagoland since 1945.

How many locations?

So we've got the Valparaiso, Indiana location and then our St. John, Indiana location, which is a lumberyard and a showroom.

Then you've got our Mokena, Illinois location.

We also have a distribution center in Cedar Lake, Indiana.

We did a lot of shows out there.

We did a lot of shows in, around Frankfort and Orland Park and Mokena and, and New Lenox, all around there.

And I own- I know the area 'cause that's where all Terry's boys grew up and went to Lincoln-Way and, and, and some starred at Lincoln-Way.

This is a community where there was clear redlining and boundaries of where Black families were allowed to live.

It was a community quite literally built out of white flight, my parents included, who made no qualms about leaving the TF South School District due to a presti- perceived, quote, 'rise in crime.' The last time I visited, I was pleased to see how diverse it had become, but it's shameful how little progress has been made in these past decades.

The old guard is still raising their kids with racism and hatred." And this was from Dave in Mokena and formerly Frankfort.

Dave says, "I'm gonna try to put my thoughts together, and I'm not surprised that this happened at Lincoln Way East.

My prayer intention is for a little six-year-old boy named Arazio.

He's a kindergartner at St. Mary's School in Mokena, Illinois.

On August 22nd, he suffered a stroke and he had to have emergency surgery.

Yes, he's still in the hospital.
