But are young people actually doing as badly as they think when it comes to finances?

No, and I just want to be so clear about that because I do think that there is a message being pushed on young people that they are doing poorly, and that is not true, and you should reject it.

First of all, if you are even remotely paying attention under 30, you're on fire, okay? [laughs] Like, let's start with that.

The world is different than how it was for older generations.

Like, I myself, I'm a Xennial.

I'm in between, uh, Gen X and, um, the Millennials.

And so obviously the world was different for me, but I really do recognize that there is a lot of victim blaming on young people and, you know, this idea that you have these unrealistic expectations, that you all want designer homes, that you all want granite countertops.

So how should a young person think about setting themselves up for success knowing that?

Just walk our listeners through that.

Yeah.

So the two kinds of plans essentially are really it's non-family and family.

And we call one individual, but that's what non-family is.

And it's about the subscriber, who they can be.

So anybody can open an RESP for any child.

And that's what the non-family or individual one is.

It doesn't become taxable.
