Essentially, we are facing a situation where China has been a major investment and loaner to Egypt.

since after the June Revolution, which brought Morsi to power and ousted the short-lived Morsi Muslim Brotherhood government.

Egypt is currently emerging as a very important arena in the US-China tech competition because Cairo is looking at this as a major investment in the AI infrastructure, cloud computing, telecoms and other data centers, not just one thing.
