So when Lou Reed – or sorry, not Lou Reed, but Maureen Tucker gets to just do the backbeat, that's kind of preferable to me.

Like Maureen Tucker, she was so androgynous, she could, she could have risked...

If, if she walked into, say, um, the Stonewall Inn, even in New York, you had to wear three items of clothing that were specific to your gender or else you could be arrested.

So someone like her, Maureen Tucker, the drummer, could have been arrested just for showing up the way she showed up for her band, right? Mm.

So that is crazy.

That is cra- That, that's how much people wanted to make this music and represent this world.

Moe Tucker was born in 1944.

Moe pioneered an unconventional minimalist drumming style, playing upright with mallets as a member of The Velvet Underground.
