Those signature styles are known and easily recognizable, even confusing.

I did a lecture once at Modernism Week putting up multiple images of Frank Gehry buildings, the ones that use the metallic skins, and people couldn't tell whether it was the same building or five different buildings because they were that similar.

go back to Herzog de Meuron, I can't think of two projects that look the same, but I can think of how they're similar in their intelligence, in their detailing, in their use of materials, in their conceptual thinking.

But the result, whether they're using sand, stone, glass, wood, every project is quite different.
