Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

You've been on the podcast before.

I believe last time we had you on, we talked about a late episode of G-Witch, which were Mercury, I believe.

Lastly, the spoiler section timestamps are wholly and actually wrong, so if you don't want to get spoiled for the first season of The Witch from Mercury, then the best option would be to just watch it first before you listen to this episode, because the spoiler sections will not be helping you.

With all that noted, let's go back to the year 2023 and listen as two dorks talk about some G-Witch.

Season 1.

Yeah, so we have Kido Senshi Gundam, Susen no Majo, or Mobile Suit Gundam, The Witch from Mercury.

Or as we in the biz call it, Gwitch.

Yeah, G-Witch or Witch from Mercury or WFM.

It's a fucking radio station.

That was a nice little snap.

And so some of the series I personally want to recommend, the first one is, uh, not necessarily a recent, recent one, but it's, uh, it did come out in 2022, which is Witch from Mercury.

There it is.

So Witch from Mercury is a, um, a non-canon, so not UC, uh, show, where, uh, the protagonist is, is a, uh, student that was born from Mercury.

And obviously, if you could probably under- kind of guess it, they, they're the one, uh, the school where she went to study, like pilot, this, in this series, uh, they call her a witch, so that hence the name Witch from Mercury.

Which again, you know, like as you t- you were talking about, we're getting witches, like, straight up all over the place, right? The new Gundam movie was the, uh-

The Witch From Mercury

...

Circe, right? The Witch From Mercury.

Mm-hmm.

And s- uh, the machinations of Circe.

Um, uh, which is, is part of why it's bad.

It's also why they had a bunch of production issues on, uh, G-Witch as well, uh, sort of notoriously.

Um-

Um-It's because, you know, the people that do that, um, aren't receiving a sufficient amount of training.
