Uh, s- story number two in our three big things Dalton had this morning, an agreement to bolster security at Mobile County's public high schools received another year of support yesterday after the Mobile County Commission unanimously voted to reauthorize the program.

Let's talk about the program.

Alabama, the police chief said that he never resigned, and they went ahead and got rid of him, saying that he put in his resignation, his benefits, as well as his pay has stopped, and he is suing.

This is in Mobile County.

but I am super excited for people to see this, for people who remember the old Linksman, for people who never played it before.

This is going to be something real, real good for Mobile County.

Do you have – do you know if anybody has signed up for a tournament or have they been able to do that yet for this next spring?

We haven't done any of the high school matches yet, Coach.

So, A.W. Ferris runs the, you know, the Mobile County – scheduling uh he has reached out to me we're trying to have our high school coaches meeting at my golf course because i want the high school uh teams in the area to see the driving range to see what we have and kind of see what all we're going to offer for them but you know we've had st paul's has reached out about moving their tournament over here uh in the spring and i've had a few people reach out but we haven't scheduled anything concrete yet no sir

Another award winner, homeowners.

Tonight, the Mobile County DA's office will decide whether charges will be filed in a possible self-defense shooting in West Mobile.

Investigators say a homeowner shot and killed an intruder identified by police as David Lee Jr. Natalie Williamson has been looking

And tonight, well, the result of this case is now in the hands of the DA's office.

One neighbor tells me it's sad someone died, but they believe the homeowner did what they had to do to protect their family.

Tonight, the Mobile County District Attorney's Office is reviewing a possible self-defense case after Mobile police say a homeowner in West Mobile shot and killed an intruder.

This was the scene Monday night after nine MPD officers and homicide detectives gathering evidence inside a home on Calgary Drive after responding to multiple shots fired.

And that actually was story number one with Mayor Carlita Davis for the press conference yesterday talking about The police chief and the police department overall.

Yeah, and we'll get to some of that audio from Carlotta Davis, and also I have a lot of audio from Sheriff Paul Birch, Mobile County Sheriff, who was on with Sean Sullivan yesterday.

Just so happened the second Tuesday of the month came at a great time to discuss the Pritchard PD situation.

6 p.m. At that point, the Mobile County Sheriff's Office was no longer going to be patrolling and making arrests in Pritchard, but that was, I guess, that was taken care of by the idea of an agreement between the city... pritchard and the county of mobile

yeah so they've like truly begun discussions on contracting out the mobile county sheriff's office while using this poly hire firm to find a police chief i don't know how wide their search is if it's from the southern tip of florida to the northwestern tip of the country but they're a pretty wide span as they look for this next pritchard police chief and sheriff birch had plenty to say about that why don't we start with the and what it may look like as Pritchard gets the Mobile County Sheriff's Office to continue to police the area while they rebuild the department.
