My parents were immigrants.

My mother from a tribe called the Mizos from northeast India, and they moved to Sheffield.

in the early 60s.

And for my mother, this was a huge contrast from coming from a tropical jungle to a home where tigers and panthers roamed around her to Sheffield in the 60s, which was a bustling industrial city.
