Mitte

Together with her husband, Christian, she has built a contemporary art collection closely connected to the city, its galleries, and the artists who have lived and worked there.

We recorded our conversation in their private home, the penthouse above the Boros Bunker in Berlin-Mitte, after Karen had taken us through the collection downstairs.

With a background in psychology and art history, she worked in galleries in the Rhineland during the 1990s.
