Mitchell Parker

First time eligible.

Mitchell Parker.

How about that? Probably

right.

There's a lot of walks, right? And this year we saw a little bit more in the zone.

Second Tommy John, he's having to go through.

But a million dollars where they're at with him, and I don't want to sit there and say, you know, so different than Mitchell Parker.

I think it's so different than Mitchell Parker.

But that was simply never the case.

When you had guys like Mitchell Parker coming out of the bullpen for the first time in his career, five blown saves just himself this season, not the best way to go about things.

In my mind, where I got wrong and where I was most wrong about the Nationals was they just simply did not have the talent to compete out of the bullpen.

And I think that is a big issue.

Patrick Corbin did it three times, '21, '22, and '24.

Erick Fedde in '22, Trevor Williams in '23, Mitchell Parker in '25, Miles Mikolas this year before he was DFA'd, and now Jake Irvin in back-to-back seasons, okay? Look at those names on that list.

You understand who they are, you understand where they were in their careers, and you understand what, if anything, they still had left to provide beyond that point.

That's not the kind of company you want to keep.

Yeah, or maybe Irvin gets moved to the bullpen for the final week.

If you remember, we saw this with Mitchell Parker last season where he, like, super late in the year got moved to the bullpen.

So I, I wonder if we could maybe see something like that with Irvin.

I'll say this about Jake Irvin.

Raise your hand if you remember Justin Lawrence.

Brad Lord, Mitchell Parker, and Paxton Schultz.

But number one on that list is Clayton Beater, like I said, lately had really been struggling.

Did do well, though, in this game, but the Nats option him to Triple-A Rochester after the game.
